After a 24 year career in health service management Graham left his job as Director of Administrative Services and worked part time to produce a portfolio for Glasgow School of Art. He graduated BA (Hons) Fine Art (1996) and MPhil Art in Organisational Contexts (1998) before practising as a Community Artist and establishing Young Art Services. As well as tutoring traditional materials he has also run Computer Art and Digital Photography classes at Ecas where he has worked for over ten years.
He has a particular interest in developing ways for people with disabilities to have control over their creativity in general and, in particular, for them to use digital technology to assist in the production of their art. His paper, “Autonomy of Artistic Expression for Adults with Disabilities (2008)”, was published in the International Journal of Art and Design Education.
