Having studied Social Work at Edinburgh University for 3 years I then trained as a swimming teacher. I initially volunteered with Ecas at the swimming group in 2011 and then took up the role as swimming group leader for maternity cover for a period of time. I then moved to a swimming coordinator role with a large leisure company managing a large swimming programme for children and adults. In 2015 I returned to Ecas as swimming group leader.
I have experience of working in disability sport as well as a keen personal interest in wheelchair racing, para-triathlon, hand-cycling as well as competitive experience in para-archery.
My love for swimming and passion for teaching are both aspects of my work with the Ecas swimming group that I find very rewarding.
